Paris had her first experience with Tae Kwon Do today at a Birthday party. She had a lot of fun but is not interested in ever doing it again :) The instructor was all business... Yes, Sir... No, Sir on everything from everyone. He told Paris several times to sit up straighter. Luckily she took it all with a grain of salt. I, on the other hand, was totally nervous.
This was called the rattlesnake game where you had to jump the noodle/rope to avoid getting bitten. I got some good action shots-
This was called duck and dodge... and if the kids did not duck or dodge at the right time they were konked with that padded stick.
On a sadder note, Alex took a bad fall on his scooter yesterday and the handle bar hit his eye. Luckily, I was able to get good advice from his Uncle Jeff, and we just iced it and took motrin. It eventually swelled closed but today looks a little better

oh my gosh, that's a lot to take in. first of all, paris can jump! and it does seem a little intense. peyton thinks she would love some kind of karate, but i'm not so sure.
poor alex and his eye. glad you didn't have to do stitches...in a day or two, it'll just be a cool black eye, maybe?!
oh my goodness....poor Alex....he must have been in so much pain....you must have been dying. Glad you called Jeff. His shirt is very appropriate that he is wearing.
Whoa....sounds like a serious party. Very impressed with the jumping as well.

Your Tae Kwon Do commentary is hilarious. Sorry to hear about Alex's eye though. Mickey got scratched up pretty badly a couple years, back falling off his bike - fortunately it usually looks worse than it is !
